December's cheery veil of holiday merriment is slowly lulled away by cold January's call
The blinking holiday lights that don houses and streets disappear as if being stolen by a shadowy thief cloaked in darkness
The cold and hollow breath, belonging to a harsh mistress known to many as winter wind still courses through the empty air, chilling those who still feel it.
The lone ivory moon hangs unaccompanied by its starry companions as ashy grey clouds cover the darkened sky.
~Was walking the dog late in the evening and noticed how dark my street looked with out all it's holiday garb. Felt like writing about it ;D
